Originally Sadel started out as an assembly company. It was founded in 1975 in Ghent. Over the years Sadel started up, apart from assembly, other activities including energy recuperation and trade in stainless steel. In 1984 the removal from the tight housing in Ghent to the industrial zone Eke-Nazareth took place. Since 1989 Sadel has been exclusively into wholesale trade activities in stainless steel (see Products).

In the meantime the company has grown significantly. In 1992 Sadel merely had nine employees, eight years later this number has increased to forty. The storage facility was no longer sufficient and it became necessary to rent two extra storage areas. The supply and delivery possibilities also became insufficient. Once again the time came to look for another accommodation.

This was found at the new industrial zoned "De Prijkels", also in Nazareth. August 1999 the first pile went into the ground and the actual removal, first of the warehouse and later of the offices, took place respectively in April and the end of May 2000. The company now disposes of ample storage area as well as offices i.e. 16000 mē. The entire area amounts to 33000 mē. Sadel is set for years to come and is able to meet many new challenges in the future.

Sadel's products find their way into various sectors. Many tubes are used in food, beverage and tobacco -industry. Furthermore the bars and sheets are bought for construction purposes. On the one hand there are the final consumers who come to Sadel for maintenance purposes for example. On the other hand there are the construction companies and the resellers who make use of Sadel's very large stock. Sadel is fortunate enough to be independent of any provider or manufacturer whatsoever as this may cause delays in deliveries.. As an independent company Sadel has the liberty of choosing its own product range and buying and selling with great awareness for price and quality.

Sadel disposes of five trucks which makes it possible to deliver anywhere in Belgium at least two times a week. This means: ordered today is delivered two days later. If necessary other arrangements can be made. If required the material can be collected by the client at Sadel. As far as that is concerned Sadel has a big advantage as it is situated at the E 17. Moreover Sadel makes use of external transporters for big deliveries and for deliveries to the more distant areas. In short no challenge is too big for Sadel!
